Trading is the process of exchange trading, the task of which is to make money on a variety of financial transactions (with shares of large companies, currencies, futures, etc.). For those who want to start making money in such a market, online trading will be an excellent start. The trading process occurs through intermediaries - brokerage companies and private brokers, who are the liaison between the trader and the stock exchange.
What is withdrawal of invested funds from an account in simple words?
- The main article replenishment of funds “Replenishment of accounts with brokers, banks, exchanges and payment systems”
- What is the difference between finance and money
A refund is a transfer of money from a broker's current account to your personal account in a bank or payment system (Yandex.Money, Google Pay, Unistream, PayPal Alfa-click, Privat 24, Sberbank Online, Skrill, etc.).
De facto, the money in a trader’s personal account with a broker is only a subaccount in the current account of a brokerage company as a legal entity. A trader can invest these funds only in the services of this particular broker (PAMM account, LAMM account for auto-copying transactions, open a cent account, NDD, STP or ECN account for personal trading on the market), i.e. transfer them from one subaccount to another subaccount of this broker.
Withdrawal of funds is the return of the foreign currency of the capital you invested from the broker to your full ownership, i.e. their transfer to the category of personal finances, which can be used at your own discretion.
This is a standard procedure for investing funds and then withdrawing money.
What do you need to start trading privately? face on the Moscow Exchange
The exchange itself is simply an organizer of trading. Sellers and buyers meet here. But why can’t buyers and sellers meet without intermediaries? What's stopping them?
Yes, everything is simple. To make it even clearer why we need an exchange if we want to trade without fear of being deceived with our assets: Each of you will agree that it is safer to buy dairy products in a centralized store than from a car on the street.
It’s the same here. The procedure for selecting bidders is very complicated. It won’t be like you bought shares, and the next day the company disappeared from the face of the Earth. This, of course, is just an example. But it clearly shows the essence. The Moscow Exchange has special requirements for participants.
All these requirements can be viewed on the exchange website.
Here's a summary of the requirements:
To Legal Entities
- High long-term credit rating
- Compliance with mandatory standards of the Bank of Russia or the competent authority of the state of establishment of the non-resident Bank
- License for banking operations (validity period)
- Professional Participant License
This is the bare minimum requirement.
As for individuals, in fact, the article itself is about this, everything is much simpler here. Individuals can participate in the markets of the Moscow Exchange as clients of trading participants. This means that neither you nor I need to fulfill the requirements for admission to participation in the auction.
- It is enough to find one of the trading participants and conclude a brokerage service agreement with him.
- Connect to the exchange using appropriate programs
- Deposit funds
- Learn to trade
- To earn money little by little or not slowly)))
How to withdraw money from a broker
De facto, “withdrawal of money” is a transfer of your personal finances from the current account of the service provider , to your personal account in a bank, or with a payment system.
Withdrawal of funds already implies that you have registered on the site, opened an account, gained access to your personal account, and verified it.
Unlike depositing funds into a deposit or personal account with a broker, the number of withdrawal methods is much smaller. There is no withdrawal to terminals, occasionally it is possible to withdraw to the account of a mobile operator, etc.
As a rule, withdrawals are made to the payment systems through which the deposit was made. Alternatively, you can withdraw through other payment systems, provided that they all have the same owner, which is documented, and/or the broker has enough funds on these payment systems.
Investment strategy
The need to choose a strategy arose when I decided on a financial plan. By this time, I was already thoroughly “savvy” in the theory of investing - I read books, articles, and watched videos. As a result, I developed three main strategies for myself, and later added one more.
Account No. 1 - “First dividend” +16% for 1.5 years
This is an account with Tinkoff Investments. The goal is to obtain constant income from dividends. My portfolio contains 60% Russian and 40% foreign companies. I chose companies that regularly pay dividends.
In 2021, I replenished this account with 400 thousand rubles, and in 2021 I deposited another 700 thousand rubles.
This IIS is open to me, here I studied and made all the mistakes of a beginner. For example, I bought shares that had risen sharply in price in the hope that they would continue to grow, although sometimes, of course, they fell. This is probably why it lags behind other portfolios in terms of profitability.
Account No. 2 - “Passive assets” +49% for 14 months
This is my wife's IRA. In 2021, we contributed 400 thousand to it, and in 2020 another 127 thousand.
It primarily consists of a variety of ETFs. This portfolio does not require daily adjustments. It is enough to check how he is doing once a month and buy more funds that have grown the least (to maintain a balance in the portfolio in accordance with the strategy).
Account No. 3 - “Barren Woffett” +55% for 10 months
This is a portfolio with targeted investments. Here I have selected shares of only three companies that I personally like. These are Tinkoff, Yandex and Novatek. During the drawdown in March 2021, I very actively bought additional shares.
In 2021 I replenished this account by 400 thousand, in 2021 - also by 400 thousand rubles. The profitability during this time amounted to 424 thousand rubles.
Account No. 4 - “Follow me” +90% for 11 months
This is a briefcase with “Auto Follow” enabled. The service is provided by the broker Finam. Transactions of an experienced trader, whose strategy I am connected to, are automatically repeated on my brokerage account. Futures for gold and silver, shares of gold and diamond mining companies, futures for the dollar/ruble currency pair are bought there. This is the high risk part of my portfolio.
I have three accounts in Finam, two with auto-following, on one I trade myself (for example, now, in conditions of high risks for the ruble, I bought $1000), for a total of 270 thousand rubles.
I don't have a goal to fund each of these accounts every month. I deposit money into the account where I now see a good time to buy in accordance with my strategy. During the March drawdown, I actively bought additional shares on accounts one and three, and almost didn’t touch the second account, since it didn’t dip much.
Currency of withdrawal of funds from the account
The withdrawal currency is usually the same one in which the trader opened his trading account - USD, RUB, EUR, GBP, UAH, GEL, RON, RSD, HRK, KZT, TRY, etc.
Depositing and withdrawing funds in cryptocurrencies is much less common - these are mainly the popular Bitcoin BTC, Ethereum ETH, Ripple XRP, Bitcoin Cash BCH, etc.
Robot in stock trading
Exchange trading is systematic in nature and is subject to strictly defined algorithms. That is why special programs have emerged that allow you to automate trading in shares and other financial instruments. They are also called trading robots. To save a trader from routine work, simple bots are used to place orders to buy or sell an asset at a certain price. More advanced robots can be configured for almost any stock trading strategy. It turns out that the bot simply works according to the trader’s strategy and earns you money.
Semi-automatic or automatic robot
If we talk about trading advisors, then these include semi-automatic robots that can analyze the financial statements of issuers and changes in charts over given time periods. Some of them may even give certain signals based on the news that comes out. However, the trader always has the last word here.
When connecting to a trading account of an automated system, the trader completely trusts it. Here the robot independently makes transactions according to the chosen strategy. By analyzing the market situation, comparing trading statistics and automatically performing graphical analysis, they make one or another decision to sell or buy an asset.
How to choose a robot
- Let's look at past returns.
- We take into account the possibility of risk and losses (if the robot does not show this, this is a bad sign).
- How much the robot can analyze the news background.
- Be sure to look at reviews of certain bots on the Internet.
It should be noted that such automated systems today have not only computer, but also mobile versions. So, now you can trade almost anywhere, even if you don’t have a PC with you. The main thing is to have a smartphone with a relatively good operating system. By the way, if you are planning to buy a smartphone with good characteristics, you can read my article about the best smartphones in the mid-price segment using the link.
There are paid and free bots. Since decent money is circulating on the exchange, it is not worth installing free versions. They may trade in the wrong thing at all, and in the worst case scenario, they will steal all the money. But automatic trading on the stock exchange using paid versions can be useful. But it’s worth remembering that you can’t rely entirely on a robot. After all, it's just a program. She cannot know all the features of the asset, so it is better to work with her carefully.
Advice! Never rely completely on trading robots, no matter how good they are, semi-automatic or even automatic. A beige bot is like a pig in a poke, since you will never be told the exact algorithm of its operation. Only a professional programmer can understand it.
Withdrawing money by bank transfer
Withdrawing money via bank transfer is used by almost all brokerage companies, and for Forex broker banks (such as Swissquote Bank, Dukascopy Bank, Saxo Bank) this is the main conclusion.
To withdraw money via international bank transfer, you must fill out the form (full name of the recipient, account number in the recipient bank, its international name and SWIFT code):
Such a transfer will undergo financial control on the part of the broker’s bank and on the part of the client’s bank, after which the requested funds (with the exception of the commission, which averages $40) will be in your account at your complete disposal. Typically such a transfer takes 2-5 days.
How to register and open an account on MOEX for an individual
1. To do this, you need to find a company or bank that participates in trading on the exchange.
See the list of participants here. Take the time to make sure that you are not being deceived by some fly-by-night companies. They must also have a brokerage license from the Bank of Russia.
2.Come to their office or through their official page on the Internet (usually a website) and enter into a brokerage service agreement, thereby opening a brokerage account.
3.After this, you will generate a login and password under which you will log into the broker’s system to make transactions, or into the trading terminal.
If you still don’t trust anyone, you have doubts, then you can choose a broker through the official website of the Moscow Exchange.
Official page for opening an account on the exchange
This will definitely be reliable, especially if you live not in a large city, but somewhere in a village.
When I clicked on the “Open account” button and registered through a Google account, I was offered only two brokers.
By default, the exchange offers brokers: Otkritie and KIT Finance
And if I choose a broker myself on the same page of the Moscow Exchange website, then the choice is very large. I need to click on the “Select broker.” button.
Use this form to open a list of brokers
See for yourself. And this is only a part of the brokers. And there are more interesting brokers than brokers: Otkritie and Kit Finance in terms of indicators.

Withdrawing money to a Visa or Mastercard
Withdrawing funds to VISA or Mastercard cards is the same as withdrawing via bank transfer. In the withdrawal form you must enter the amount to be withdrawn, the payment card number and the international name of the cardholder bank.
As a rule, such a transfer takes up to 5 working days. The transfer fee is 7.5% per transaction (payment system commission) plus bank interest for the transfer (approximately 3-4% of the transaction amount).
Tariff selection
We have made sure that trading on the Moscow Exchange can be carried out through the Russian banks Sberbank and VTB. True, they were unable to open an account with VTB online without being a client before. The most important stage is to understand the tariffs for trading.
If on the Sberbank website I found the numbers I was interested in without any problems, then with VTB again everything turned out to be much more complicated.
Sberbank tariffs for trading on the Moscow Exchange
name of the market for trading | tariff “Independent” |
Stock market (shares) | up to 1,000,000 -0.06% 10 000 — 0,035% more than 50,000,000-0.018% |
Derivatives market (futures and options) | 0.5 rub per contract |
Currency market | up to 100,000,000 -0.2% more than 100,000,000 -0.02% |
And don’t forget the exchange commission of 0.01% of the transaction amount.
VTB tariffs for trading on the Moscow Exchange
There is such a nuance at VTB that it is better to know about in advance before the start of your trading on the Moscow Exchange:
Anyone who enters into an agreement online, through the bank’s website or through VTB-My Investments, is automatically connected to the “My Online” tariff.
You won't be able to figure out the tariffs right away. In all sections and advertising landing pages there is a figure of 0.05% per transaction, whether in shares or futures. And upon deeper study of all the sections in the pdf file I found the following data:
Information about VTB broker tariffs
From the table it becomes clear that futures trading is not very cheap compared to Sberbank. There, the price for selling a contract is 0.5 rubles. There’s nothing wrong with this, you say. But at Sberbank everything is done for the people. And everything is clear about the tariffs. And at VTB I had to spend time to find the coveted figure.
From VTB, even at the first acquaintance, I developed a negative feeling.
The commission for futures trading is 2 times higher than the Sberbank commission. It is not surprising that it is not easy to find when you first meet.
Conclusion: Of the two banks reviewed, I recommend Sberbank.
Withdrawing funds to the Yandex.Money payment system
To withdraw funds to the Yandex.Money payment system, you need to know your account number.
It should be recalled that withdrawals to the Yandex.Money payment system are carried out in Russian rubles, so you should find out at what rate the conversion will be made. In this case, in ]NordFX[/anchor] the conversion takes place at the rate of the Central Bank of Russia minus 2%.
Is it possible for a beginner to make money on stock trading?
It is possible to make a profit on the stock exchange if you learn to analyze possible risks and have a certain knowledge base. Luck and high stress resistance play an important role. It is important to initially understand that such an activity is not a game. Therefore, you should not start trading without prior preparation.
Even having acquired fundamental knowledge of how stock trading works and having studied the terms, many have a hard time at the initial stage. This is explained by the fact that not everyone is able to think analytically. For example, let's say you are looking to buy shares of McDonald's. But first you should compare the company’s performance with competitors in the same field. It is likely that there is a small developing company that is gradually increasing its turnover. While McDonald's has no prospect of expansion in the future. This fact must be taken into account.
Hence the conclusion - in order to make money on the stock exchange, you must have intuition, perseverance and an analytical mind.
You shouldn't count on getting rich quick in this matter. Some people have to spend more than one year practicing to start earning decent money, while others may never achieve success.
Withdrawing funds to the WebMoney payment system
When withdrawing money to the WebMoney payment system, you must select the transfer currency RUB or USD, enter the wallet number and (if desired) the protection code. WebMoney has a standard transfer fee of 0.8% of the transfer amount.
Financial market. What not to do
Forex has its own characteristics that the stock market does not have. For example, when purchasing a currency, you cannot only take into account its exchange rate. After all, one currency is exchanged for another, respectively, both are taken into account. You cannot make transactions without a plan that takes into account all possible scenarios. In addition, you need to constantly monitor the news. Very often, jumps occur due to a statement by a politician, as well as a sharp change in the situation in the country. However, there are also plenty of advantages of Forex trading.
Withdrawing funds to the Skrill payment system
The Skrill payment system identifies the user by registered e-mail - just enter it into the form on the broker's website. The main currencies for Skrill are USD, EUR and GBP.
How much income can a beginner expect?
If you learn all the basics of stock trading and gain good practical skills, then it is quite possible to earn a lot of money on the stock exchange. But this is in the future, and a novice investor, with a successful combination of circumstances, can count on a profit of 25-50% per year. Traders earn more money, but they also put in a lot more effort. Typically, they make 2 to 4% profit per day.
This outcome is possible if a number of factors coincide:
- continuous self-education;
- predisposition to this type of activity;
- strict discipline in relation to risks and analytics.
Even if a beginner did not earn anything on the first five trades, but also did not suffer losses, then this can be considered a success.
According to statistics, earnings on stock exchanges are real, even for beginners. You just need to remember that such work requires an investment of mental resources and time. You should not rely on luck, but join the process with complete dedication. Only then can you count on a positive result.
Withdrawing funds to the Neteller payment system
To withdraw money to the Neteller payment system, you also need an e-mail to which your personal account is registered in the payment system. The main currency for Neteller is the US dollar.
Both the Skrill payment system and the Neteller payment system charge a commission for transferring funds in the amount of 1% of the transfer amount.
What rules should you follow when trading?
There are many rules that must be followed when concluding transactions. Each trader has his own list, which he adheres to and what guides his work. Here are the main ones:
- You cannot invest all your money in only one type of value and one brokerage exchange.
- Use your money to trade. Do not take out loans, borrow money or pledge anything.
- Keep losses to a minimum.
- The transaction amount must be ten times less than the original amount.
- Focus on the optimal percentage loss indicators for 1 day of trading. This value should be less than 2-5% of the deposit amount.
- Profit should be 3 times greater than losses.
- In the beginning, you don't need to open many trades.
Withdrawing money from stock exchanges
Access to trading various stock market instruments, such as CFD contracts on financial assets: stock indices, bonds, ETFs, preferred shares, warrants, forward contracts, blue chip shares, treasury bills, repos, depository receipts, etc. ., are usually provided by broker banks, large brokerage companies - market makers, such as Interactive Brokers, Swissquote, Saxo Bank, FxPro, Dukascopy, Oanda, FOREX.com, FXCM, and therefore the withdrawal of earned funds from such companies - have its limitations: VISA, Mastercard payment cards and bank transfer.

Main article "NASDAQ: the No. 2 stock exchange in the world"
How and why I chose the Moscow Exchange
Everything is simple here. I was hooked on the idea of trading shares, but we don’t have any other options in our country. The choice is small and I had to trade on the Moscow Exchange. And it turned out:
In Russia, the Moscow Exchange is the only platform where you can buy shares of Russian companies.
Although not so, I heard not about the Moscow Exchange, but about stocks and a broker who teaches trading for free. And only then I found out that these stocks would have to be traded on the Moscow Exchange. To be honest, I wasn’t particularly interested in where to trade, it was important , so that it doesn’t look like another “MMM” from the 90s.
Withdrawing money from commodity exchanges
The same applies to the ability to trade various goods - URALS oil, fuel oil, diesel, Brent oil, liquefied gas, biodiesel, gasoline, natural gas, WTI oil, rice, corn, barley, wheat, orange juice, oats, live cattle, soybeans, cocoa, pork carcasses, sugar, soybean oil, cotton, butter, milk, coffee, copper, gold, palladium, silver, nickel, lead, platinum, aluminum, lumber, rubber, ethanol, benzene, etc. — the list of methods for withdrawing funds from brokers that make it possible to trade commodity futures is also quite limited to bank transfer, VISA and Mastercard payment systems.

Schemes with analyst
Well, schemes with analysts are now right in trend. I mean when an analyst gives out low-quality signals and loses the client. Understand one thing: in Forex kitchens, transactions are not displayed on the interbank market. That is, you are trading against the company itself. Therefore, your profit is their loss. There is a conflict of interest, isn't it? You will still be leaked. Ideally, if you trade for profit, believe in success, add even more money to your account, after which you will be drained. Very often they ask to take out a loan in order to add funds to the account and overcome a certain drawdown. At the same time, they guarantee that everything will grow soon. Many will probably think that this cannot happen. Who will fall for this? I wouldn't have believed it before either. But now I often get something like this in the mail. In one of the recent letters, a man lost one and a half million rubles and took out a loan. I took out a loan because the analyst said so. The drawdown was too large; analysts like to advise trading in such companies without stops and risk control. And then they ask you to report funds in order to survive the drawdown. This time the man successfully leaked everything. Including credit money.
But people will still be fooled by such offers, since they promise huge interest rates. Well, really, who is interested in giving money to a reliable investment company at 15-18 percent per annum. It’s better to try to earn more and lose everything).
Therefore, I recommend to everyone, if you come into this field, find a reliable broker, it is not that difficult. If you want to put money under management, give it to a top broker or a reliable investment company. If you are promised consistently more than 30 percent per annum on investments, this is already a scam. Think about this. One of the most successful investors in the world, who has outperformed almost all hedge funds and the index over the long term, is Warren Buffett. Which showed an average of about 25 percent per annum over a long period. In a good phase of the growing American market. Do you want a higher percentage? Seriously? Forget about it. You can earn a larger percentage by trading. But this is a separate topic, not for beginners.
Also, do not give money in trust to just anyone. Now there are a huge number of such proposals. Including in the cryptocurrency market. You might just get dumped. Even if the trader does not have access to your account and cannot manage your money. He can very quickly and easily transfer money into his account through illiquid stocks or cryptocurrency. It's very easy to do. I talked about such schemes in separate videos.
In this option, at least you can protect yourself a little. Install a risk manager program on your side, which will interrupt access to trading at a certain drawdown. This way the trader will not lose more daily risk. And if you see obvious fraud, you can simply refuse his services. But if his goal is to transfer funds, most likely, after such an offer, he will simply refuse your account. Although there are other ways to help yourself in trading a client account.
I have often seen stories in the news where a trader collected a large pool of funds, then suddenly transferred everything into his account within a day. And then he simply evaporated from Russia. In general, what is the main message of all this? Think about who you are giving your money to. Check the person, think about how you can protect yourself.
Withdrawing money from cryptocurrency exchanges
Gradually, cryptocurrency exchanges are coming under the control of financial regulators of the countries where these exchanges are registered. In this regard, the choice of method for withdrawing earnings becomes limited. There is almost no withdrawal left to the crypto wallet (in the form of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, EOS, OmiseGO, Ethereum Classic, Monero, Binance Coin, NEO, Internet of Things, Bitcoin Satoshi Vision, TRON, Dashcoin, Stellar, Zcash , Cardano, DASH, Tezos, NEM, LINK) and bank transfer.
How much do traders earn in the stock market?
Traders rarely name exact amounts of earnings. Even if they name the amount, it will not help you in any way - your earnings may differ significantly from the announced figures. Most often, traders provide information as a percentage for a certain period of time. However, few people will say how much money he invested. It is believed that the average profit of successful traders is 20% of their investment. Making money with a small starting capital will take time and patience.
It is also worth keeping in mind that income depends on the market situation: during periods of active growth, even beginners can earn money. But only professionals receive stable and constant profits on the stock exchange, and they always have a certain percentage of unprofitable transactions. Their difference from beginners is that they know how to competently analyze the situation and minimize losses.
Withdrawing money from payment systems
Today, withdrawing money from payment systems is not difficult. Payment systems have created the most convenient options for clients - this includes withdrawal to a bank card of Alfa Bank, Sberbank, VTB Bank, Privatbank and others, bank transfer to a personal account, receiving cash at self-service terminals, etc.
Transferring money to trust management
Sometimes beginners are asked not to delve into the work of the exchange, but to entrust this matter to professionals. Undoubtedly, professional traders really understand the laws of the market better than us. They do a good job of making money on the exchanges, but they don't have enough money to make a significant profit. So they take money from other people and then pay them a certain percentage. This type of investment is called trading using PAMM accounts. Beginners seem to trade on the stock exchange through a trader with a good history of working on the stock exchange. However, it is worth understanding that even a professional can make mistakes, so the risk of losing all investments is also present here. However, the choice of investment is not limited to the stock exchange. So, if, after reading this article, you realize that trading is not your thing, you can familiarize yourself with numerous investment options in other areas.
Reviews on withdrawal of money
Traders have no complaints about payment systems, they have complaints about brokers - more details on the subforum
Blacklist of brokers from Masterforex-V Academy):
As you can see, Masterforex-V traders have complaints against such well-known brokerage companies as FortFS, TeleTrade (Teletrade), Gerchik & Co, World FOREX, RoboForex (RoboForex) and others, and they are not related to the withdrawal of funds, but to preventing traders from earning money capital.
What does trading mean?
You can often hear about trading on TV, but not everyone understands what this concept means. Although there is nothing unusual about this term, it is translated as “trade.” This concept comes from the English word “trader” - trader. Traders are those who participate in trading in the stock, financial and foreign exchange markets. Moreover, traders are considered to be both professional specialists - those who work for financial companies, and private ones - who have opened trading accounts for themselves. However, the main differences between traders are considered to be trading goals. Some are investors. Others trade to make a quick profit on the difference in exchange rates and, in turn, are divided into formers (earning from an increase in the exchange rate) and bears (earning from a decrease in the exchange rate). Those who trade within one day every day have certain trading strategies. For example, the “Sniper” strategy is very popular among scalper traders, which allows you to make money even on small exchange rate differences.
Beginners often invest money without any strategy, without even learning the basics of trading. This absolutely cannot be done, because with a high degree of probability, without certain knowledge you will simply lose them. And after the first losses, disappointment can quickly set in. And it’s quite possible that you simply don’t want to try your hand at trading any further. This is because the success of a trader is directly related not so much to his fundamental knowledge of the market, but to discipline and the ability to find the correct entry and exit algorithm in the boundless ocean of stock trading.
Instant withdrawal of money
Instant withdrawal of money is provided by almost all payment systems Webmoney, Yandex.Money, QIWI, Neteller, Skrill, but only some Forex and binary options brokers.
But in fact, the speed of withdrawal of funds from a broker’s account depends... on the broker himself. Masterforex-V traders advise carrying out all financial transactions in the first half of the day - while the broker’s financial department is working. Your withdrawal request in the evening, at night or on weekends will most likely be delayed until the start of the new business day.
Therefore, instant withdrawal of funds, as advertised by such companies as InstaForex, Forex4you, EXNESS, Grand Capital, FreshForex, remains just a marketing ploy. It cannot be any other way, because... the broker is obliged to check the transaction at the request of financial regulators within 2 hours to 1 day.
How I almost lost my deposit. 3 years of experience working on the stock exchange. Beginners and more
This story is addressed to everyone who wants to start trading on the stock exchange, has just started trading on it and simply wants to read another story about how beginners lose their deposits.
I think that this story needs to start from afar. Thoughts about how to make money in our difficult times began to overcome me a very long time ago. If I'm not mistaken, it was 2008. Many people lost then, but not me. Back then I had nothing, so I had nothing to lose.
It was then that the idea came to me to try my hand at trading. There was no talk about the stock exchange, but forex advertising flourished. I opened a deposit in the Forex club, deposited $100 through a Qiwi wallet... leverage 100... the result is predictable. I thought I had learned, deposited money again, doubled the deposit... drained it again.
I was recently talking to a friend. He asked me what I thought about binary pairs, whether it was possible to make money on them. I’ll answer this question for everyone – no, you can’t. And this is not just my opinion.
I won’t talk about Forex kitchens here (this story is about something else), I’ll just say one thing - if you don’t want to lose your deposit, don’t contact them. Believe me, there is practically no chance to earn and withdraw money. Don’t believe advertising and those who tell you that they got rich doing this - they’re lying! Do you have a low salary? Do you want to invest? Do you want to learn how to work on the stock exchange? – Your choice of stock exchange. This is what we will talk about.
During the period from 2008/2009, thoughts about forex or the stock exchange visited me from time to time. But it wasn’t until May 2021 that I decided to open a brokerage account. The decision was related to the advent of individual investment insurance and the desire to receive higher profits than from a deposit in a bank. I won’t tell you what IIS is (but for those who don’t know, I advise you to read it and take advantage of the generous offer of our state).
In May 2021, I opened an IIS (after some time my wife also opened an IIS), deposited money into it... After a while, I opened a simple brokerage account... Here, in fact, the story itself begins.
1. Careful investments. The calculation was simple: receive 300 thousand rubles from the state in 3 years. through tax deduction + coupon income from bonds. And really, what could be simpler???? You need to choose bonds, because buying them you do not risk anything. And it is true. Provided that you own short-term OFZ bonds or bonds of such large companies as Sberbank, VTB, Severstal, etc. But the yield of 7-8% did not suit me, I wanted more. The first mistake and the first loss. It turns out that it is not enough to find out the coupon yield, the maturity date... the offer . I bought 25% of the deposit of bonds from one company and suddenly I saw!!! and they sharply fell in price by 10 percent. I began to figure out what was going on. It turns out that the issuer, before the offer for the next period, announced that the coupon income until the end of the bond redemption will be 0% per annum. I missed the offer... I can no longer demand a ransom from the company. In fact, it turned out that I was lending to the company for free. Conclusion, if you buy bonds, look carefully before making an offer at the new % of coupon income - it may change (https://www.rusbonds.ru/authfailed.asp you can view information on bonds on this website). As a result, I sold it, losing 10%.
2. Transition to stock trading. One thing is good... I started trading shares in May 2021, and not in February 2021. What I’m talking about (who doesn’t know) can be understood by looking at the Sberbank stock chart. I very quickly forgot about being careful and started trading stocks (although I didn’t forget about bonds either). When trading stocks, I made standard mistakes: 1) did not set stops; did everything by hand; I was TERRIBLY worried when I suffered a loss; 2) did not allow profit to grow. However, looking back, I can say that at first I did everything more or less correctly. I was wildly worried, but I killed the elk almost immediately (I didn’t let the losses grow). So, for example, I sold Aeroflot shares on time, when they cost 124 rubles. And it was difficult to make money by going long (buying shares) back then - the entire market was falling down.
3. First serious mistakes: shoulders; no stops; throwing; suffered a loss, but did not allow profits to grow.
It so happened that I started trading Sber (eh!!! Why didn’t I start trading MMC Norilsk Nickel). Sber fell then. Then from 200 rub. unexpectedly began to rise (before the meeting between Putin and Trump) to 232. Then it sharply went down. Then I bought it at 220... and it went down. The loss was meager, only a few thousand rubles. My main assets were in bonds. But I really didn’t want to lose money. Therefore, when it fell by a ruble or two, I bought more. (I bought it at 220, then for the same amount at 219, then at 218, then for the shoulders at 217). Of course, there were no stops (in order to minimize losses, a “stop” is placed in the program - if the price reaches the stop level, the paper is automatically sold). So from a bond holder I turned into a holder of Sber shares, and even with leverage (I have 400 thousand, I borrowed another 400 thousand from a broker - that is, if the price falls by 5%, my deposit will be reduced by 10%) . And, as usual in such situations, the price immediately went down. What was the mistake? There were two mistakes: 1) it was impossible to average when the price dropped by one ruble . What happened? – the price fell by 1%, and I bought more shares by 300%. You had to wait for the price to drop by 5% and then buy a little more, then wait for the price to drop another 10% and buy more. In this case, it would be possible to significantly reduce the average cost of paper. And so... I was left with an average price of 219 rubles. and with one shoulder 2) it was impossible to take the shoulders (beginners should just forget about shoulders); 3) you need to place your feet (they should always be placed, but if you TAKE YOUR SHOULDERS, THEY MUST BE PLACED).
In the end, what was supposed to happen happened. For several days I was spellbound as I watched the price drop... I was already dreaming about a loss of 2 thousand (which is where it all started) like a fairy tale... I could no longer record a loss of 20 thousand, a loss of 30 thousand. Moreover, there was no longer any question of recording a loss of 40 thousand... In such a situation, we left the dacha for the city to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. When I found myself at the monitor and saw that the Sber price had dropped to 208 rubles. and the loss was already 90 thousand. I came to my senses and recorded it. After that, the share price fell a little more, and then went up safely. In general... a standard situation.
There was a lot more to come. I speculated on Sber... I bought it and sold it... actively used my leverage... Once I was lucky with Rusal (the price increased by 13% per day... Sometimes I made 10-20 transactions a day. In one day I earned 12 thousand!!! of which the broker's commission amounted to 8 thousand. What mistakes did I make? All the same, but one more has been added to them. I didn't let the profits grow. I see that I earned 4 thousand - I take a profit - and the price went in the direction I wanted. Moreover, I took profit when the price changed by 0.5%, and endured it until the loss reached 2% - 3%. Now I understand that such a strategy could only have one ending.
However, I was lucky. When the price of Sberbank was already 195 rubles. and many said that this was the bottom, I almost managed to restore my deposit to the original level. But what happened happened. Sber went 180. I lost about 30 thousand rubles. per day (what I earned the previous day). I became upset, panicked, began to rush around, and began to make chaotic transactions. By that time, I had withdrawn my nest egg from the deposit... placed it in a brokerage account... The total amount of my funds was already about 1 million rubles.
As I said, I panicked. August was ending... When the price dropped once again to 180, I bought Sber shares for the entire deposit + leverage, set a stop at 174 and went into the forest. When I came a few hours later, my stop worked... the price was already hanging around 175... I lost about 6% of the deposit. By evening the price returned to 180. This was the last straw. I decided to stop with stocks at this point.
What was the mistake: 1) you can’t trade on emotions; 2) you can’t go against the market; 3) even then I believed in Sberbank, I thought that it was already the bottom. What should you do in such a situation? Firstly, no shoulders (and if you take shoulders, you must understand that you can carry the money); Secondly, stick to the principle - buy and hold.
4. How I didn’t lose my entire deposit. The advantage of shares of Sber and other large companies is that it is impossible to lose a deposit when using one leverage (if you trade with a large broker, he simply will not give you more than 2 leverage). But I decided to switch to bonds again... and bought bonds of the Fin Avia company (this is a subsidiary of the Utair company). They were then trading at a discount, 65 rubles each, and their nominal value was 100 rubles. + not a bad percentage. In short... don’t buy bonds of unknown companies... As a result, in the summer of 2021, Finavia refused to pay at all. It turns out that the issuer can simply take it and not pay, and avoid bankruptcy. If anyone is interested, go to the UTair company branch on Smartlab and read it. Lost another 80 thousand rubles. But then I took this loss calmly. Thanks to the broker - he did not allow me to buy these bonds for the full amount.
5. And again Sber shares. In the fall of 2021, I bought Sber shares for 180 rubles. they went up... I bought more on the shoulders, then reset the shoulders when the price approached the resistance line. He put his feet on his shoulders. He allowed profits to grow (and this is the main thing)... In general, he did everything right. So the price safely reached 220 rubles. And then it flew down 200. And... I panicked again. I sold everything for 202 and!!! got into shorts. The price went up a little... I took the shoulders in shorts (and not alone). The next day, Sber opened with a gap up by 1%. And I have 3 shoulders!!! Then the price increased by another 1.5% - in total I lose 2.5%. We multiply this amount by 3 (I have shoulders) and get a loss of 7.5% of the deposit!!! Mistakes: 1) you can’t panic, I didn’t want to sell Sber, I wanted to sit in it until dividends - I should have stayed further. I bought it for 180 rubles, the price was 200 - everything was fine; 2) no shorts, especially on the shoulders (many will disagree with me); 3) it was necessary to put a stop on the short - I did not do this.
Sber sawed (went up and down) from 202 to 208 for several months. I made a little money from all this... And then Sberbank shares went up sharply, then down a little... and I again became short at 225 rubles. and again without a stop. Then I added shoulders at 226... came home... and the price was already 228. I set a stop at 232 and the next day the stop worked successfully. Sber went up to 247. There I started rushing around again... but having made a small profit, I closed the position. The result of all this is still minus 100-200 thousand rubles. I do not remember exactly.
Then it was the summer of 2021. Based on the results of the second half of 2021, I earned about 10% of the deposit. Then came 2021 with its coronavirus... But it was force majeure. I used the price drop to improve my position. At one point I was in the red by 600 thousand rubles. But I didn’t even really scold myself then, since it was impossible to predict, for example, the failure of the OPEC deal and the fall of Sber by 10%... The mood was heavy, but better than during the events described.
The main thing is that if you lose money on the stock exchange, do not blame it on your family and friends. Don't upset them needlessly.
What I realized for myself: 1) no shorts (especially the first two or three years)!!! You can't sit out a drawdown with shorts; 2) no shoulders; if you take the shoulders, put a stop and don’t take it off; 3) let profits grow, losses must be cut off immediately; 4) use dividends (yes, when a company pays dividends, the share price falls. But if the company pays them regularly, the price will still rise, and these dividends will still be yours), and the number of shares of the company will remain the same; 5) don’t go against the market (if you see that everything is falling, take a loss, wait, take your time... let it fall further - buy later, buy with a ladder; 6) working on the stock exchange requires patience; 7) trade with large intervals - a price movement of 2% - 3% does not mean anything, you want to get 10% - 20% profit.
My biggest losses came from using my shoulders.
I can’t say that I myself use all these rules now. But I hardly use my shoulders. I don’t open shorts, I trade from long. I let profits grow. I receive dividends. It's more difficult with the feet.
I've been wanting to write this story for a long time. But I was waiting until I could compensate for all the losses. At the moment, all losses have been more than compensated. In addition, I received very good dividends, in addition to dividends another 300 thousand rubles. from two IRAs for 3 years (mine and my wife’s), which expire in December. I won’t close the IIS, but now, if I need money, I can close it at any time.
The income from working on the stock exchange for 2021 was almost equal to my salary for the same period of time (a little luck, of course, but I waited for this “luck” for a whole year).
I hope that I was able to convey, at least a little, my emotional state. Don't make my mistakes. Health, happiness, love and good luck to everyone.
PS I highly recommend the site to everyone (this is a forum for the Sber promotions). On this site you will also find a lot of useful information on other Russian and foreign companies.
